Additional fan options and things to consider when purchasing and installing your new ceiling fan:
- You can choose a ceiling fan with or without a light
- Fan lights can be various colours and brightness
- Fans can be supplied with a wall switch or option to buy and add on remote
- Extension rod can be installed for high ceilings, exposed beams or sloped ceilings
- Outdoor fans can be installed for outdoor covered areas (ABS plastic fan is required)
- Various fan sizes are available with different blade length options
- Fans come in 3 blade, 4 blade or 5 blade options
- Choose the ceiling fan position so the fan blades do not overhang or obstruct existing downlights
- Fans can be used to circulate air in Winter when switched to reverse mode to push warm air downwards

Fan install is in a standard height room, and small to medium size room with easy power access. Some extras might apply if you have high ceilings, or difficult access, and require extra time or materials.
Like for like installation. All installations under this fixed price fan installation offer are conducted on a ‘like for like’ basis. This means the new fan is able to be installed in the same location using the existing wiring/connections in place.
For the sake of clarity, like for like replacement can include the following; Fan & light installed to an existing fan or light point as long as a remote control is used. Fan only installed to an existing light or fan point, with wall switch or remote.
The installation includes disconnection of the existing product and installation of the new product. The old product and packaging will be removed from site and disposed of by us.
The fixed price installation offer is for installation of fans only and does not include the cost of any fans.
The price is based on an installation location within our service area, determined by checking your postcode at on our online store.
There may be circumstances where your new fan can’t be installed on a like for like basis. In these situations, additional items may be required to complete the installation. Any additional works or items will be discussed and approved by the customer prior to commencement. The pricing and payment for any additional works will be negotiated directly with the customer at the time of installation.
At the completion of the installation, there may be some pre-existing issues that are visible such as drill holes, ceiling scratches and scuff marks. The repair of such issues is the responsibility of the customer.
Any specialist equipment or tools required for installation, e.g. scaffolding or scissor lift, will be an additional charge and agreed to in advance by the customer.
Installation will be performed by our qualified licensed electrician. If we are not already on site and can install the fan on the spot, then our office will arrange a booking with you for the installation at a date and time that is suitable to you during our normal weekday operating hours. Installation bookings may be made outside of normal business hours or weekends by mutual agreement, however, will incur additional costs. This will be advised at time of your enquiry or booking. You must ensure that the site is accessible and safe for the installer to attend and install the product. You must give us all relevant information about the site beforehand. You must provide the installer with access to the necessary areas and amenities as required. You confirm that you are the home owner or that you have authority from the home owner for the works to be undertaken. You must be at home at the start, during the installation and at completion.
If existing wiring does not comply with current regulations, the installer is obligated to update to ensure it complies. Costs associated with this will be treated as a variation and at additional cost to you.
Full payment for supply or installation is required in advance of installation for online orders. Or for pre-quoted jobs where a site check has been completed by us a %50 deposit is required prior to booking, and COD payment for the balance is due at the time of installation. Any additional charges must also be paid COD directly to the installer who will provide you with a tax invoice/receipt. We will provide you with a final Tax Invoice that includes an Electrical Safety Certificate or other such compliance certification as is required by law. This is provided on your Tax Invoice documentation after payment is received and cleared into our bank account. If the installer attends your site at the agreed time but cannot gain access to complete the installation, you may still be charged a service call fee of $99 incl GST. If you require us to re-book after we have attended an additional service call fee of $99 incl GST may be charged to you. If you want to cancel before the installation, any prepayments for stock orders may incur a restocking fee of 10% of the price of the product, plus any freight charges that we have incurred.
Warranty or Complaints:
Normal manufacturers product warranty applies together with general consumer rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. Warranty details for your individual product can be found in the product brochure and/or the manufacturers website. Our installation warranty is for the same period that applies as the manufacturer. For example, if the fan has a 3 year manufacturer warranty, then our installation warranty will cover the same 3 year period. Manufacturer warranty repairs may be completed by the manufactures choice of repairer or a third party contractor. To the extent permitted by law, we limit our liability to re-supplying and re-installing, repairing or refunding your payment at our election. To the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for negligence and for indirect or consequential loss. If you have a complaint after installation please allow us the opportunity to rectify it for you at the earliest convenience. We may ask that you provide evidence of that complaint by email and provide photos, and you must allow us to access the site to enable us to investigate and rectify the issue for you. Warranty or Complaints will be responded to by us within 48 hours during our business hours, and we will offer you a suitable time to re-attend within 10 business days. If the issue is found to not be a warranty issue, a service charge may apply at our standard hourly rates, as shown on our website.
